In 2015, I was commissioned for the very first time to do a portrait of my friend's dog, Rishi.
Up until then, I had never attempted to do such a bold endeavor, it felt so intimidating.
But I wanted a challenge.
I had never seen any of my work cause so much joy in anyone.
It created a buzz within me to be able to have something mean that much to anyone.
I began doing the same for other friends and family members, sometimes as a surprise.
In 2020, I was approached by the same friend to do an updated version.
Rishi, a few years older, now had a new friend in his life - Floyd.
This led to the start of getting commissioned for pet portraits.
